Monday Motivation - A Life Well Lived

Today is September 11, and I remember exactly where I was 22 years ago. And I remember what I was thinking and feeling.

For many people, it was a day that changed the trajectory of their lives because they wanted to live a fulfilled life with purpose. Ben Bergeron (CrossFit coach) and Robert Saleh (NFL Jets head football coach) are two examples.

Living a fulfilled life requires two things: health (physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual) and purpose. Health and purpose can look different, but a lot looks the same.

Health looks like...

  • Moving often (ideally every waking hour)

  • Lifting heavy

  • Sleep well

  • Eating real food... Not too much of it... Mostly plants

  • Thinking good thoughts

Purpose looks like...

  • Knowing the value you are adding to our world

  • Taking care of people you can help

  • Connecting with others

At Blue Eagle, your coaches and I take care of the "lifting heavy" part, Coach Amy can help you with the "Eating real food... Not too much of it... Mostly plants" part, and I am writing a book to help with the moving often, sleeping well, and thinking good thoughts.

To help you with your purpose, we perform at least one Hero WOD every month to honor the servicemen and women who have paid the ultimate sacrifice for our country and freedom. And we raise money for an amazing charity (we raised over $4,000 for Stuff the Sleigh in August).

Today is a day to reflect on your health and purpose. We are blessed with amazing freedom to make this world better.

If you want to take more control over your health, get started with our personal training and nutrition program that has helped dozens of Fulshear, Richmond, and Katy residents lose weight, get toned, and feel great!
