This Saturday! Blue Eagle Open 24.4

Here's what we have for Saturday's workout. There will be 4 events (+1 extra workout if total attendance exceeds 24). Each event is either a AMRAP 5 or has a 5 minute time cap. We will take 5 minutes in between to reset after each event and rotate to the next until all are completed.

Event 1: Twist & Shout

AMRAP 5:

In teams of two,

Athletes start 50-ft away from a sled. Start by unitieing weights looped through a rope connected to the sled. As you are detaching the weights you must get them all loaded onto your sled. Once all of your weights are secure to your sled, athletes must pull the rope 50-ft back to the starting line. The round ends when the sled crosses the line. Continue by pushing the sled back to where it began and repeat by pulling the sled 50-ft back across the line.

*Score = most rounds pulling the sled across the starting line

**Athletes can push and pull the sled together

Event 2: Stick & Poke

AMRAP 5:

Athletes will start facing each other and performing 10 Synchronized PVC Pipe Thrusters (reps are counted when both athletes reach the top of the press, locked out together). Once 10 synchronized thrusters are completed, athletes will use their PVC pipe to carry a dodgeball down 30 yrds from one platform to another. Athletes can NOT use their hands to carry the ball nor place it on the platform. Once the dodgeball is secure, a new round will start again with 10 Synchronized PVC Pipe Thrusters followed by the dodgeball carry.

*Score = most amount of dodgeballs placed on the platform

Event 3: Breakfast Scramble

AMRAP 5:

Athletes will start by completing 10 burpee box jump-overs (step-overs). You can split the reps as desired. Once you have completed your reps, begin by solving your first puzzle. After you think you have solved the puzzle correctly, signal to your judge to verify. If you get confirmation, you can start on your second round with 10 burpee box jump-overs. When reps are completed you will solve for your second puzzle repeating the same steps to verify. If you make it past your second puzzle, you will continue from the beginning with 10 burpee box jump overs for your third puzzle.

*Score = rounds + reps

**If puzzle is not completed, correct pieces will be credited for one (1) point for each correct piece

Event 4: Shake It Off

5 minute time cap:

Athlete 1 will start with their shaker bottle turned right side up. On 3..2..1..GO, athletes will flip their bottle and try to remove all of the gumballs from one bottle to the other using one hand. Athletes are allowed to switch hands as needed. Once all of the gumballs are emptied from the top bottle, you can move to the balloons and cups. Fill one (1) balloon with air and attempt to knock cups off of a table using only the air inside the balloon. Continue to breathe into the balloon to collect more air to knock off the cups. Once athlete 1 is done, athletes 2 can start with the shaker bottle. The time ends when both athletes have completed their rounds one time through.

Score = fastest time to complete 2 total rounds

Event 5: Timber (extra workout)

5 minute time cap:

Athlete 1 will start by rowing 200 meters. Once they are finished, they can grab from a pile of rubber bands to begin shooting them at a target. Athletes can only grab one rubber band at a time. Once the target drops, they can tag out with athlete 2 and athlete 2 can begin their 200 meter row. Continue until both athletes have completed 2 rounds.

*Score = time or rounds + reps for tie break

**Reps include one (1) rep for every target dropped and one (1) rep for every 10 meters rowed
