Monday Motivation - Finding Motivation When Feeling Depressed
Happy Monday Blue Eagle!
There are seasons in life when life feels overwhelming, and it's hard to find the energy to do the things you know are good for you. Getting motivated when feeling depressed can seem impossible. But even on your hardest days, there's still hope, and I want to encourage you to take one small step toward feeling better.
Finding Motivation When Feeling Depressed
Here’s the thing: motivation doesn’t always come before action. Sometimes, you have to start moving to create the motivation. And that’s okay. In fact, it’s powerful! Whether it's putting on your shoes for a short walk, choosing to eat a piece of fruit, or showing up to your CrossFit class, these little actions can spark a chain reaction.
The goal isn’t perfection—it’s progress. On days when you're feeling low, it’s important to set your floor, like we’ve talked about before. What’s the smallest thing you can do today to keep moving forward? Maybe it’s drinking an extra glass of water, or just taking five minutes to breathe deeply.
You Can Take One Step
It doesn’t matter how small the step is. What matters is that you keep showing up for yourself, even in tiny ways. These moments of action add up over time, and before you know it, you’ve built up the strength to keep pushing through the difficult times.
Remember: you are stronger than you realize, and you don’t have to take giant leaps to make progress. Start where you are, with what you have, and trust that better days are coming.
Also remember, you have me, your Blue Eagle coaches, and your Blue eagle classmates in your corner with you. You are the reason we exist. Lean on us.
I’m here with you every step of the way.
