Monday (Tuesday) Motivation - Build Your Vision Board
Happy Tuesday, Blue Eagle!
It’s Tuesday, and this is a "Monday Motivation" email, but you know what? That’s okay—we’re still showing up! Consistency beats perfection every time. :)
As we look toward 2025, let’s take a moment to dream big. What does your ideal year look like? Not just in one area but in your health, family, career, and happiness.
The secret…
What is a Vision Board?
A vision board is more than just a collection of images and quotes—it’s a daily reminder of your goals, your "why," and the life you’re working toward. Here’s how to get started:
Set Your Intentions.
What do you want to achieve in 2025? Write it down in detail—whether it’s crushing your fitness goals, advancing your career, traveling to new places, being more present with family, or getting more sleep.
Find Visual Representations.
Print photos, clip magazine images, or save digital pictures that represent your goals. It could be a strong athlete who inspires you, a family having fun on vacation, or even a word like "balance" or "courage."
Place It Where You’ll See It.
Your vision board should be somewhere you’ll look at every day. Let it remind you of what you’re working toward, even on tough days. You can save it on your phone's lock screen, set it as a picture at your desk, or tape it to your bathroom mirror.
Act Daily Toward Your Vision.
Your vision board is a starting point. Pair it with actions—show up to your workouts, prioritize your relationships, get 15 more minutes of sleep, and take small steps daily to turn those visions into reality.
How to Build a Vision Board
Here are three creative ways to build a vision board:
Traditional Poster Board
What you’ll need: A poster board, magazines, printed photos, scissors, glue, and markers.
How to do it:
Divide your board into sections for different goals (health, relationships, career, travel, etc.).
Cut out images, words, or quotes that resonate with your goals and dreams.
Arrange and glue them onto your board, adding personal touches like handwritten affirmations.
Digital Vision Board
What you’ll need: A computer, phone, or tablet with apps like Canva, Pinterest, or PowerPoint.
How to do it:
Create a Pinterest board or design a custom collage in Canva (I prefer Canva).
Add images, motivational quotes, or even short videos that represent your aspirations.
Save it as your desktop background, phone wallpaper, or print it for a physical copy.
Revisit and update it throughout the year to keep it fresh.
Interactive Vision Wall
What you’ll need: A corkboard, sticky notes, or a whiteboard.
How to do it:
Pin or stick pictures, goals, and action steps to a corkboard or whiteboard.
Use sticky notes for goals that you can remove and replace as you accomplish them.
Add sections for short-term, medium-term, and long-term goals.
Place it in your workspace for an ongoing, dynamic view of your progress.
Choose the method that feels most exciting and manageable for you. Remember, the key is to keep your vision alive by looking at it daily and pairing it with consistent action!
Let’s make 2025 the year we transform our goals into achievements, one intentional step at a time.
You’ve got this. See you at the gym!
